Mrs Elizabeth Grubb
Castle Class Teacher
Mrs Grubb has recently joined us in Castle Class, teaching on Thursday and Friday each week. She enjoys hiking and spending time with her family and dog, Copper, at the beach.
Mrs Grubb enjoys reading, and her favourite fiction authors are David Nicholls, Colleen Hoover and Sarah J. Maas. Her favourite thing to do is share stories with her son before bedtime, chatting about the illustrations and putting on voices for the characters. As a young child herself, Mrs Grubb loved Jill Murphy’s picture book characters, such as those in ‘The Last Noo-Noo’ and ‘The Large Family’ series, as they were cheeky and made her laugh! She later enjoyed sharing Jacqueline Wilson books with her older sister and became inspired to write her own stories after meeting the author in a book shop! Mrs Grubb had many memorable English teachers at school, and looks forward to sharing her passion for reading and writing with Castle Class.
Miss Easlick
Sail Class Teacher
Miss Easlick enjoys reading a variety of genres, especially adventure stories. Her favourite author as a child was Enid Blyton; she remembers her reception teacher reading 'The Magic Faraway Tree' books whilst sitting on the carpet and the feeling of being transported to another world. Miss Easlick enjoyed reading other Enid Blyton books to herself when she was at primary school, including The Famous Five and The Secret Seven. Her love of adventure stories grew as she got older; she devoured all of the Harry Potter books and then read the Goosebumps books under the bed covers with a torch! This inspired her to write her own adventure stories. Now, Miss Easlick loves reading mystery and detective novels before bed. She also enjoys choosing exciting stories to read to the children in her class, to inspire them to write their own engaging stories.
Mrs Michell
Teaching Assistant
Mrs Michell is a teaching assistant working across both classes. She is also our lunchtime supervisor and enjoys supporting the children in creating games and activities at lunch breaks.
